We found out a couple of days ago that Genesis has allergies thanks to me and her daddy. She is so congested at night and I feel so bad all I can do is hold her and try to comfort her And milk comes out of her nose every now and then..which only makes the situation worse...my poor baby. But besides that she is doing really well she is 8lbs 13oz, she weighed 6lbs 7oz at birth.
I don't know if this is possible but I think she is spoiled I cannot put her down for a second while she is awake she immediately begin to whine which quickly turn into loud screaming. When I was in the hospital all I did was hold her. Who wouldn't? Now since we have been home she just want to be held all the time I'm now learning how to do everything with one hand.
As far as sleep goes I think she is starting to sleep longer already because for the first two weeks she would get up every 2 -2 1/2 hours now she she only get up twice a night to eat. And speaking of eating breast feeding is a breeze it has gotten so much better for the first week or so it was torture my nipples would bleed it really hurt I thought about giving up but I was encouraged by husband, friend, lactation nurse to keep going things will get better and it did! Now at night I don't have to get up to warm a bottle or make a bottle now its just as easy has pulling up my shirt and pulling her close to me. I love to sit and watch her eat
(breast feed)..especially when she grasp my finger and curl her toes my heart just melts each and every time.
For the first time she smiled at me today at first I thought it was a fluke but she did it again and I knew she was smiling at mama :)

My Birth Story
June 26th I started to have contractions this was nothing new to me since I have had contractions/braxton hicks my whole pregnancy. But when they began to come more frequently I began to worry and called my husband to see what he thought about...long story short by 1 am I was admitted into the hospital and there was when I was diagnosed with preeclampsia. My blood pressure was really high, I had protein in my urine and I began to see spots. Everyday they would perform a PHI test to see if the protein in my urine would increase or decrease it went from 400 to 800 to 2400 over a three day period. June the 25th was when I was told I would be delivering 6 am the next morning. I was very nervous worried if she would be okay hoping that everything would go smoothly. I was induce on the 25th by inserting a foley which is basically a balloon they insert into your cervix fill it with some water ( a couple of mililiters). At first I was worried but after they inserted it I thought to myself, "Oh this doesn't hurt so bad at all" about 10 minutes later I was in pain it was tolerable but it did hurt. After many hours passed the pain just got worse and I began taking pain medication. Throughout my whole pregnancy I said I was NOT going to get an epidural but my 6 AM I was begging for it. The anesthesiologist came and I was so happy. But I began to notice that I could still feel the my legs, vagina and contractions but not my stomach. With my last pregnancy I didn't feel a thing. A couple of hours later it was time for me to push and after many long hours of pushing the nurses realize that the baby was in a position that prevented her from coming down into the birth canal. And with all the pushing it made her head swell and it was then when my doctor decided that we had to do a c-section;which I hated. Entering the cold room, seeing men and women with masks on, seeing all the instruments just made me so very nervous. After all the draping and sterilizing I heard Genesis cry and I immediately began to cry because this is what I have been praying for. I thanked GOD many many times. I am so happy that he blessed me with this beautiful little girl. Only HE knew how much I wanted to be a mother. Now this may sound strange or even crazy but after I gave birth I was verrrry sleep and tired and my body was shaking all over. I could barely hold my eyes open while holding Genesis and soon after I was sleep. My husband called the family and sent pictures while I slept.
Daddy sleeping the night before I gave birth.
This is daddy getting ready to meet his daughter we were going to get ready for the c-section.
As you can see on this picture her head was swollen in the back from all of the pushing but it went down within a day or so.
I know I was HUGE on this picture to be exact 173 pounds, but I was so incredibly happy.
Aww I just love this picture.
